Adult Matric As A Distance Learning Programme

The Adult Matric course can be studied at Bellview Institute of Distance Learning. There are no physical classes involved in Distance Learning.

All of your studies will be based via Distance Learning. You will only need to write the final matric exam at an allocated venue assigned by the DHET.

Application Requirements For Adult Matric

You can apply for Adult Matric if:

• You have a grade 9 or an equivalent certificate
• You have a matric status that is incomplete (you did not pass matric or did not write matric)
• You are at least 21 when you need to write the final examinations

How Long Does Doing Matric Online Take?

You can choose to complete this course within a period of:

• 12 months
• 24 months
• 36 months

You can start this programme when you are 19 years old as long as you are 21 years old when you write your matric exams.

What Does Amended Senior Certificate Mean?

The Amended Senior Certificate is an award you will receive once you complete the Adult Matric course. This qualification is on the same level as the certificate obtained through completing traditional matric.

Adult Matric Programme Compared To Traditional Matric Programme

Both qualifications are on the same level, but there are differences between the programmes:

• You can choose in which time frame you want to complete the Adult Matric Programme
• Adult Matric has lower pass requirements
